On 19 June 2017, as one of the parts of the EU Sustainable Energy Week with the theme of “Clean Energy for All Europeans”, DEEPEGS Coordinator Guðmundur Ómar Friðleifsson with Project Office represented by Hjalti Páll Ingólfsson had a pleasure to join the INEA Coordinators´s Workshop in Brussels on geothermal research. In addtion to this, the Sustainable Energy Week was launched along with recently proposed by EU the Clean Energy package.
The INEA meeting gathered coordinators from different European geothermal research projects participating in H2020 funding to held a panel discussion on H2020 geothermal energy research projects and discussed potential synergies, overlaps & opportunities.
